see spunk you should of let the last bit go then you could watch me rant then come back with that its about timing

me and me mate did a job few months ago and we left it really matt when painted it looked great

I use to know someone from bourmounth do 200 meters a day, got silliy in the end would lay on a whole room cupboards the lot....Started getting gready and rough...

Surely an 8 bag set take u most the day....

I use to try do 3 three bucket sets in a day when last on site on my own, ******* hard work

In my experience most of these guys that quote hits of 7, 8, 9 or 10 bags are nearly always putting in way thicker than the correct 2mm in a bid to get more working time as well as using cream of tartar. So an 8 bag hit may only be the equivalent of 5 or 6 bags at 2mm and because they've delayed the setting time they are often only aiming for 1 or at most 2 hits a day.
On site I used to load the correct amount of bags plus a couple into each house for the guys that worked for me, it seemed to stop bags getting nicked, excessive waste and banging in on thicker than needed, all of which would come straight out of my profit.

anyone who one coats is a cowboy!!! how can u get a smooth seamless finish with just one coat???!!! by hand or spraying should be 2 coats!!! multi/board/ or spray finish

One of the best spreads i have ever seen one coated board all the time and his work was s**t hot there was never any fault in his work and it would dry an even colour, but i still 2 coat i dont think its any quicker one coating.

I take it you've not used the BG Spray Finish then?
When Multi first came out it said on the bag to apply A two mm coat, and guess what a lot of guys did just that. The good spreads still got a good finish and the others still left it shite. I tried the one coat method on two or three consecutive houses and although I got just as good a finish I just preferred two coating so went back to that way.

i always 2 coat cos thats how i were tought to do it though i do 1 coat under a stairs or a cub bared etc hate seeing folks 1 coat on site bugs me to hell lol
old guy who trained me used to mention cream of tartar for making it stay wet longer espec on cieling but never told me how much to use any1 know?
