No, cut in with brush, and 12" roller it on. I think that spraying sealer leaves a p rickly finish, whereas the roller flattens any sanding residue left on the surface. Cutting in takes the time and this little sprayer would speed things up considerably. Most tapers don't cut in with the sealer, but I always do everything. The roller also leaves a slight texture which hides the difference between the paper surface and that of the joint.
