Can't believe it has been completely scrapped. Going to cause a few problems I fear.

What do you think the government will do to fix this mess?

Unfortunately it has happened. Rumours are the over 25% of the claims have been fraud! Unfortunately it wasn't policed very well and people have taken advantage and killed it for everyone!

Wont be long until they sort it and bring a new system out. Hopefully it will be policed better!

Very true. We have had people say they have been approached to sign off work when it hasn't been completed etc.

Called them up and my voucher has been processed so I'm ok.

Funding for the Ewi has been blown up and talked up all along and but the talk was never backed up with action. Its a mess

As you say with that amount of fraud, the government has fixed the problem.

I think the scheme would of done better if a certain amount was paid per carbon ton saving like the Eco funding was calculated, the trouble with 75% or max of 6k of price quoted, it could be manipulated so that people were getting the maximum £6k by putting a job through for £8k where really it's only worth say £4500, the fund would of spread a lot further to more people to benefit from rather than middleman getting the leads in and overpricing costs and reaping the benefits whilst installers only getting the same crap prices.

It's Fooked up . As said all they needed was an email address to register for the funding , so companys racking em up . they will be selling em on to the highest bidder

£118 million worth of vouchers is 6 weeks apparently. That's a lot of ewi to get done in 6 months
