Hi there can someone remind me please What to use to plaster the inside of a fireplace. Customer is having a log burner installed to obviously gonna be some heat there so wanna avoid cracking. Thanyou
 
dry line it with the fireline plasterboard, the pink coloured one, and tile on the board with large black tiles. then it will give you a finished job.
 
sand cement and lime then top with victas plaster dnt use any beads thier prone to expansion and contraction

no you cnt dab wnt take the heat and the board will delaminate and the fireline boards although will take more heat than white boards will only take it once its all thier designed for, before the gyproc core will start to break up just do it properly sand cement lime with victas plaster to finish

it must break down in a very slow process, as the ones that i have done 25 years ago show no signs of deterioration.
