Hello! We have a small plaster and drywall company in the US. I am a co-owner, with my husband who knows plastering (42 years now). We are in the city of Denver.
There are products we generally use over here for plastering, but I just saw the Thistle Magnetic Plaster from British Gypsum, which we do not have. It looks like a great idea. Does anyone have experience with it? I am wondering if it would be worth it to us to try to bring it over.

hi lassie,
we have a member from the states, loren, he posted months ago that some german co. was hoping to sell magnetic plaster to the states but no one was interested. so perhaps the time was not correct.
as regards plaster the uk is about 20 years behind germany.

It is a large chunk of money but I am sure British Gypsum would consider sending a sample maybe?

What sort of work do you do over there? @lassie ?

Thank you, everyone. We do residential repair/remodel. We started out doing plaster exclusively but added drywall due to demand. There are many 100-150 year old houses here for us to fix, made of plaster. Plasterboard about 1945-55. But most houses here since 1955 are built with drywall. Everybody and their brother does drywall, some are good and some aren't. But few do plaster. So here it is somewhat of a specialty. At least in the residential market, though there are more plaster buildings in New York or Philadelphia.
I will look into it further, I think it's brilliant to have walls magnets will stick to. Danny, it was an article of yours where I first read about it.
