Hi everyone looking for some advice I've been looking at a lot of the chat in that pas bit always had problems with log in so thanks @Danny for sorting it . Basically I've been using the marshalltown trowel for a good few year now and I no there is better ones out there but I've been looking at all the ones yous have been talking about and I have in my head what I want to go for but its just to see what you guys recommend ??? Cheers

Welcome pal. I use a ss mt for laying on and a nela s*p*r*lex for the last two trowels. This works for me although I'm considering purchasing a carbon mt as I haven't really used one for a decent length of time.

Cheers . Ano you can never go wrong with the mt but me and my pal was doing a living room the other day and I had a shot of his refina it's wasn't the super flex but it felt awesome to be honest . And the nela has caught my eye to but I reckon buying a few will be a good idea tbh and try them out .

Welcome along bud, what is it you have in your head? I've worked with 4 different spreads in the past month and all are using s*p*r*lex . Used properly they are great. A well worn carbon steel mt is a thing of beauty to use but a s*p*r*lex requires less pressure in my opinion.

Alrighty thinking going for refina s*p*r*lex . But quite a few people on here talking about the nela. I've always been MT. Butler week I had a shot of my pals refina n I was really impressed . But I'll prob go for refina see how it goes and I'll always have the mt just incase.

Get one of each and compare the both, plasterers don't spend as much on tools as some other trades so it's worth splashing out :)
