hello / work situation scotland?

Hello all,
New to the forum but 25yrs on the trowel :RpS_thumbup:
Just thought I’d put a quick post up regarding the worksituation up North in Scotland?
I’m going to be around the East Lothian / Edinburgh area andwas wondering if any of the lads on here work in those areas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m trying to seeif the work situation is any better than where I currently am in WestYorkshire.

Welcome to the forum, couldn't advise you first hand on what work is like up there, but I think you could pretty much guarantee it's the same where ever you are in the country or even the EU

it's just like a "site cabin" on an extended teabreak! lol

I've never known it as hard on prices or continuty of work? i spent the last 2 weeks at home.

i think site work prices are at a all time low and i cant see them getting better for a long time.

anyhow no good moaning about it, better dust me "golden trowel" certificate to show em on site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and i'm friggin joking as well, i'm a genuine timeserved moaning spread and im happy as fooook ive found a forum full of like minded chaps!:RpS_thumbsup:

yep im gonna be staying east lothian way,
edinburgh is only 12 miles and I know the prices have gotta be better than West Yorkshire at the moment:RpS_thumbup:

Oreet mate, my dad lives up in Dumfries and Galloway and he reckons that the work allways gets offered to the local guys first, he says its a bit clicky, but everywhere is, luckily he buys houses and rents em out, but my brother is up there with him, doing roofing and general building, and he doesn't get any work at all unless its through my dad. My dad uses English guys but its a trek from Edinburgh.
