im married with 2 kids a boy 4 and a girl 7
ive been a plasterer now for 9 years, sort of fell into the trade really with a a mate whos a plasterer(griffin plastering sheffield)needing a hand labouring and gradually started jumping on the trowel mainly doing reveals etc..
i have nvq 2 cscs etc,(on site asesments)via super skills thirsk i dealt with a guy called mick lovely fella that knows a great deal about the trade,im always learning and still get caught out from time to time!
i keep trying to leave the trade but always end up back on my trowel lol
(anyone else think skimming ceilings is a young mans game)
i dont really do much rendering as a rule but would like to learn more about this side of the trade.
im 35 a bit fat (stopped smoking) with a strong right arm(from plastering).i like me beers after a days graft,
ive worked on sites in sheffield, derbyshire, coventry, brum, grimsby, and im from lincolnshire and my pet hate is a badly run site where getting access to water becomes like an episode of the krypton factor! oh and people that dont drive a screw all the way home lol
anyways il shut up now as this is starting to sound like a lonely hearts ad!!
looking forward to a banter and learning more about plastering i think this forum is great
and plasterers need to stick together as its hard work and can be feast or famin!! all the best to all melon
