Hi all

Has anyone used danger hi-build before? I am thinking about using for a repair job.

Hi customer wants me to re do hi build. He has it on the front of the house, the builder fitted a window and patched it in with hi build but you can see it. There is also small flaky bits which need hacked off. The rest of the front is fine. I was wondering if you can go straight over the bits which are ok. What primer would you use etc

It's difficult to patch in high build invisibly as it shrinks back when it dries, the edges need to be feathered using a brush dipped in thinners. There's also a very strong chance the colours won't match so the whole elevation will need repainting. With regards to going over what's already been done that depends on the pattern that's on the wall, if it's a heavy detailed pattern you'll probably get away with it but if it's a long pulled out pattern probably not.
