Hi everyone, i'm new to plastering in general, but i'm very interested in learning how to apply neat venetian plaster finishes to walls and ceilings. So far I've decided to have a go at making my own VP out of marble dust, type s hydrated lime powder, and linseed oil. I'm still reading to figure out what exactly I should use to make it and why. When finished, i'll make a thread about home made VP with pictures. Please feel free to give me advice on this experiment.

Thanks! Yeah I think I'll end up buying VP when i get around to plastering for clients, though I do want to learn what I can from making my own. Nope just a regular Canadian of mixed roots. Work is good for a handyman, I seem to meet a lot of elderly people who've been ripped off for poor jobs.
