Hi, been lurking a while, thought I'd actually sign up...
Been plastering on and off for the last 20 ish years, in between other jobs, just started picking a big more work up..

Thought I'd share last nights experience, went to price up a job for a fella, he's been plastering himself since leaving school, but decided the job was too big... Got there, he's boarded the ceiling ready, although not a single board edge was on a joist/beam/anything other than air.. Joints were wobbling about all over the place.. He couldn't understand the issue, when I mentioned the weight of 2 coats his first question was "oh you use two coats of plaster??"

Thought you'd all like that..

The weight?? More troweling the fcker up and the boards eventually sagging where they don't land on a joist
