Hiatus hernia

Following my thread last week about getting on a bit. Been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia.

Anyone else suffer any tips or advice

hiatus hernia, is just a stretched muscle. usual in people who have spent their lives bending down. so a load of belching going on .
a lansoprazole gastro resistant capsule twice a day will help to settle your stomach down.

nothing wrong with a good days work. they are telling you to cut down on acid / fizzy type drinks .

I had the other one that went into my bollock! Iguanal hernia All good now was really fun at the time though was gonna do it me self with a Stanley and some good quality mesh! But couldn’t get hold of a nurse to assist....scalpel I mean rusty old stanly please

I take exactly the same, one a day , the heartburn I got was horrendous, like sticking a rod of fire down my throat

Maybe but the acid has damaged my esophagus and I have barrets esophagus..the damage never improves and puts me in a slight higher risk bracket for cancer. So dont wanna encourage the reaper

Not worth living mate, might as well go out with a bang. Or will that be a 'pop' in the case of a hernia?
