not keen on the sandwich board - start to look a bit desperado then ?
if your sites you go from contract to contract
I left site 2000
got a web/clear sign writing & left a tidy job - most of my work is recommends & I rarely come out of the borough I live in for work -

Nope its not hes got around 700 houses garstang david willson homes.
His partner has 300 in centre of blackpool marcus worthington site.
A barrat site in thorton/clevelys
Ive been on 2 of em.
+ plenty more.

Main problem I had with them was; if they were short on work they wouldn't tell you, they'd send you somewhere that wasn't ready rather than lose you, but they didn't realise that's exactly what they were doing, only on a more permanent basis.

Great place to buy a rental Grimsby. Or was a year or so ago.
 
Yeh still is and a lot of investment with the wind turbines and tidal power, nice place to live and the weather is quite nice throughout the winter. :)

I done alright when gordan and pav were thete....done great with edgar.

I was from Burnley, but worked off & on for them like you, worked for Holden mainly, & Edgar in the office.
From memory, did a small bit in Manchester, can recall a load of student flats opposite the eye hospital.
Never forget the young bucks with barely a hair on their sweetie carrying the boards upstairs loading out for a fiver a pallet!!!! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Never worked for them when Gordon was there algeeman, and don't know pav......was long gone.
In fact I never called them red rose was always a&h

Gordan n pav are now pdl.....big firm now in the north west good lads.
I moved up north about 10 years ago.
First site I done for redrose was in 2000 darwen about 40 3 storey houses 1600 to skim.
around 60 flats £800 a flat.
used to skim the flats in a day.
houses 3 days
..3 of us.
I had lads on day work.....ohhhh how times have changed !!!
 
Started for them when they were A&H then red rose, used to do a bit for Gordon and pav, Edgar had a lot of the good jobs done bits for him, never done anything for mick mainly mark, done bits for Joe till I nearly strung him up lol.

Liked Gordon coz he was a spread and appreciated the graft and skill not saying there was many plasterers there lol been into the office many times to get payed lol mark is a star the amount of times I was gonna strangle him but forgot when he got there coz he would distract you then when he left you would be like oh f**k I was gonna kill him lol top bloke at what he does and that's making money.

Yeh I heard he escaped to oz as well he was a little w**k*r driving round in a flash car with a private reg a bit like his dad who I never dealt with coz he knew better.

I used to work in the main on gleesons & barnfields for them, even went to London once! Sent down a dabber that got smacked off his tits every night in the digs!

One thing about RR is they have work and will employ anyone lol I threatened every gaffer at that firm and they would still give you a job had a few rows on site and they would just move you to a different site they were always handy for a start. I never did find out the rates lol
 
They asked me once can I work in digs away.
Where ? When ? I asked...

Worked on a site in kirkham for them they asked could I go to london for a day hahaha. Good rates £150 a day I was doing flats £800 a day payin lads 300 !!
Utter madness with them ££££££
 
Floating prices always good ...2 months ago skimmed 2 houses for them £650 and £730 done 2 in a busy week.
Paid me by the penny which I wasnt expecting.....edgar had always been sound.
 
Are they still blaming everything on the secretary? Jennie I think her name was tidy piece I think Edgar got with her in the end but could be wrong
