How much you say is fair

I charge out £170 per day I do alot for small builders so I give my lads £140 per day
If I charge anymore i won't get the jobs
Do you think this is fair
What’s the point just go solo and up your rate and if your busy people will have to wait or go elsewhere!

At the moment you're making 150quid a day for sorting out work for 5 lads. Give them an extra tender each to make it 150 for them. Quote jobs at 250 a day, yes you'll lose a few but keep 3 of the best lads busy and make 300 a day with less stress.
I remember skill builder bloke Bisby saying he went to some seminar and the guy taking it said “You”ll be better off without 50% of your work”

Way too many old plasterers told me not to go down this route. Stick to yourself an a lab maybe two labs. Any more isn’t worth it unless you go big. So I’ve stayed away from this issue myself.

I've lads on my books that I make nothing from,I just wipe there face with them, but there cogs in the machine. They make my life a lot easier and other lads easier.

There's a misconception, you have to be making loads of money off fellas backs to be successful, you don't.

I used to have between four and nine blokes and believe me on the right type of work you can make plenty out of that number whilst still paying them good money.

Might have to tell the lads I'll try and charge more for jobs if I don't get no work then no work for them either

I charge lads out at double what I pay them...that's how it is done in business. Problem is you will be high price and no way will you get jobs for tight builders...

Basically you need to be charging them out at £250 to £300 a day.

Just can't see any of my clients paying it
Some jobs I price I still don't get the jobs so can't see getting more work charging more but will have to see

The major problem is you've been 'reasonable" with your price's, it gives very little room for upping your price's.
You've got the wrong clients due to your price's.

Yeah back in the day.. now everyone wants top dollar an work half days ha! An that’s just the labs. I get what your saying though.
