because I'm still experimenting. Why aren't you doing ceilings first if that's a finished product.
Also there's no scrim how are you going to stop the ceiling to wall cracking?
I needed to get my skim recipe on point and it was easier to test it out on some little patches here and there. Then I ran into problems with the corners and I figured I might as well come up with a solution for that first.
Up next is the ceiling. But I used the wrong type plasterboard. It's plasterboard for drywall. So it has no suction whatsoever. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to prime it with something but I don't know what. I think I need something with grit, so that the skim has something to grab to. I might mix in some gypsum into the lime skim to make it set quicker, at least for the first coat. Otherwise I'm gonna have to wait half a day for it to pull in enough to put on the second coat. If the first coat hasn't pull in enough, I'll pull it off the ceiling when applying, darbying and scouring the second coat.
When I do the ceiling, I'll apply scrims for the plasterboard joints as well as the corners.
the bit from the pictures is supposed to be a finished product yes, but I'm gonna re-skim it because these were just some trials runs to practice my corners.
