one thing ive learnt on domestics is if theyve got you on a recommendation you can get a couple of hundred if not they'll be getting a few quotes in and guaranteed some (german person)'ll go in at 120 but if youre willing to stoop then you could do the job leave some business cards and get a few more quid on the next one .......but then youre left kicking yourself cause you dont want to work for that money.....were getting 2.70 min on board and 5.50 h/set this way so its not too bad
where does it all end though apart from buttering up contracts managers were all a bit price paranoid

Where abouts you from mate? any work on that site, lol.

Wouldn't mind getting back into a bit of site work.

i didnt blink an eyelid when a plumber was in for half a day at my house at 200 ......plasterings very skilled unfortunately we dont have to do yearly courses to keep the unskilled ones out

I think your right spunky plastering as a trade has allways shot its self in the foot, it was a descent trade probably up until i started in it ,now its all about how can we do things quicker and with over half the work you do is just skimming which can be learned relatively quickly your work load has to high cause you have to do so much of it to earn a living and theres so many people competing for it , its just a mickey mouse trade now

the site im on at the mo is absolutely spotless its mainly tape jointed were doing pods, the taper asked to borrow my floor scraper and he took up about five spots on the floor, obviously i told him not to bother cause by the time i finish the place will be completely fooked .......wre doing more and more timber framed buildings too traditional building seems to be going out of the window bar refurbs......if i had 15 grand to spare i'd get a plaster machine for render a tape jointing machine and pay a couple of grand to people to teach me .........or just skim board ;D

no mate i aint but its like any machine you get it for whats best for you which ritmo you on about

no i aint but seen it when it come out wernt good but has now been refined and looks good i got a minijet which if you changed the compressor to a more powerfull one and changed the rotor and stator i reckon you could spray finish
