i know a plasterer who for many many years has been dominated by his wife, he can not make a decision, he has no confidence, a real feeling of guilt if he does not do what she says, no matter what he suggests or ideas she says no and no and no, she is also in charge of any money coming in, and for many many days and weeks over the years , he has had no money at all , this is not good for a man to go without money poor lad i really feel sorry for him, comments please

I’ve got no sympathy for him I’m afraid hector, he’s let himself get mugged off for all these years he knows full well he’s been getting mugged off and done nothing about it some people are a glutton for punishment I’m afraid

Bloke who's garden backs on to mine is out cutting grass every other day and she comes out pointing her finger at him and demanding it done her way all the time, when we first moved in I used to feel sorry for him, 14 years later I think the w**k*r deserves it, soppy tosser.

It doesn’t sound like a nice situation by my standards but as I said, my standards. No confidence isn’t good and there has to be give and take. I know a few people who give their other halves all the money and that’s what works for them as they would go to Asda and come back with magic beans and no food. I am fairly “under the thumb” as some would put it, truth is I just don’t give enough fucks as I am very easily pleased and like to cut as much hassle out of my life as possible and pick my battles. It’s not about subservience more just my lack of s**t given if that makes sense. We put the kids first and both do everything down the middle pretty much without realising. I pay mortgage/bills she pays for the car/shopping/etc it works out a team effort really. This wouldn’t be everyone’s choice but it works for us, I’m not gonna split hairs cos she’s wanting to assert some kind of self inflicted leadership
