I've got a job coming up on the upstairs of a barn, they want the internal walls plastered with sand and cement as the stonework isnt good enough to leave as a feature. It seems like a mixture of limewash and/or white paint. It's not to be lived in its just for storage so they want to keep the cost down. Usually I'd SBR the walls and put a thin scratch on as a base for whatever coats, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice as to what to put on the walls or just to go straight on them as its only a rough coat they are after!

Thanks

Cement mixed with sbr, slurry the fook out of then scratch and top coat.

I've used screeders fibres in with the scratch coat on shittttty walls like this too, does help tie it.together.

But to cover myself, I wouldn't suggest this if its going to be lived in.
