Yeah building sand is a big no no down here to, it's shite and got no body, can brush off after....Nice to use mind...But not for rendering, seen it fail loads of times
Thank fck I'm not down your way then.:RpS_thumbup:
Just a matter of interest, what do you add to your mix as I've never used lime the past 3 or 4 years when I replaced it with freefloHave to say, if I have to do a job, normally for Asians, and there is building sand left over and they want to save a few quid (it does happen you know), I ALWAYS get them to sign a note stating that it WILL crack?
It rubs up lovely but ALWAYS cracks.
Ah well, couldn't happen to nicer people
Use freeflo in both coats (400ml per bag). I do about 50 newbuilds a year and never had one call back.
It's retarder waterproofed and plasticiser. Used it quite a lot. Good stuffIs Freeflo the same as render mix??? av never used it b4
its shrinkage thats all if its rock solid top off with thincoat acrylic

Do you have our commonwealth cousins over there?
I cant help but think they are all rich with cash being taxi drivers like. So I always give a good price in my favour. Never seem to get the job though?
