quirk a continuous groove in an architectural moulding or at the sides of staff beads on old houses where the plaster meets the staff bead and a V shaped groove is left. The purpose of the groove is to reduce the risk of cracking where the plaster meets the wooden bead or moulding. :RpS_thumbup:
There are quirking tools , yes , i have two one with a slighly smaller 'V shape' than the other the bigger i use on the floating coat of the lime and the smaller one i use on the skim coat of the lime!!
