Hello we have recently had lots of rooms in our house skimmed. It seemed ok to the touch once dry and we left over a week of good ventilation and hot weather before painting. We have put the first coat of a water based primer/ undercoat on and noticed that the walls are looking quite ripply as seen in the photograph. We are disappointed as we were experts smooth finish and don’t want to continue the expense and time of painting if it needs to be rectified. Will this look better once painted or should we be expecting more from the plasterer? Thanks.
I think legally you have to give the man a chance to put his work right but realistcally unless hes made an identifiable mistake like using a new trowel or something, he's given it his besg shot and is unlikely to be able to improve the finish.
You've been caspered and you'll end up having to get someone in to put it right.
