When doing k rend base coat do beads go on before or after

Would bead first base coating over the beads leaving enough of the bead exposed for the top coat make shure you leave enough depth for the top coat other wise you will scratch back to base coat

I know guys who do it either way, just do what you find best.

On dormer cheeks can you just go straight over with hp12 and mesh onto ply

i would not render on Ply mate ,cement board is better

If beading first will it not be close to scratching back to basecoat?

It really doesn't Matter tbh if beading first use 15mm if beading after use 10mm
