Does anyone know if this effect necessarily indicates a moisture issue? I have a similar problem and I'm trying to work out if water will have got into the walls to an extent enough to start mould problems... any help much appreciated

Yes as far as I know, it's only a couple of years old so I assume so

No visible mould as yet, trying to work out if there will be any inside the wall

This is ‘ghosting’ visibile c2 weeks after application. Will a further coat of render address the problem?

from my opinion basecoat was to think or didn't give enough time for the gear to dry
