would weber lac do the same job over paint?

As Owls says, it is not a good idea to start loading additional renders/weight over exixitng ones, We have a job starting soon, there is some patching required,MT112 to a carrier board and a fair amount of patching using rendaid and OCR.TF 150 to existing painted render.

Weber recomendations to existing render was a wash with CL150, PR310 , and a TF 150 finish.

I did express some concerns regarding coating over existig painted surface ( done approx 2 years ago) , however they seemed fairly posoitive about this.
We will jet wash it to start ,this will give us an insight into its integrity.

It's a joy to see work of this standard by professionals. Nice ytube clip to see what your all about.

i havent got a lot of choice really. its a bit take it or leave it. its only 20m but its local and easy. im gona try and scabble the paint but its also trying to keep it cost effective. 3 visits plus gear on 1 20m wall can get quite pricey. the render cant be hacked off because its ripping the front of the blocks off with it. thats why i was asking if lac would go over paint ok thinly and fully meshed, then acrylic, as opposed to the mono he wants

Correct me if I'm wrong but parinter isn't suitable for a dpr finish? Something to do with lime? Two coats of maite with mesh then dpr? Has anyone tried the parex clear sealer on mono to stop staining? Seems like a simple fix if it works

parinters fine with dpr, weve just done a project and got the warranty after a visit and a spec drawn up by the parex lot.

also for some reason the parinter is 30% cheaper than maite

Have always thought maite is ott for a lot of things compared to other adhesives etc. do you reckon it could be used on more things than paint ie. eps etc? Does it have the same body as a regular adhesive?

no one wants to answer me :RpS_crying:

can lac go over paint?

Nick, Weber do not endorse the placement of the LAC over exisiting painted surfaces. They will tell you to remove the paint, wash with cl150, prime then lay on the reinforced LAC render.

Not used the Parinter personally, but maybe go the Parex route on this one.

Hi, the guns a M25 600mm angled head, a 14mm cap and a Unistar 1 ( M300) . air nozzle at 15/16mm back for nozzle from cap outlet.

thats a big spray cap then, do you always use that size, thought your weld pool looked fat like, nice and fat i should say.

is right

Weber will always always suggest removal of paint, they even laugh at microgob (:RpS_drool:) its whatever suits their products see and they prefer all the paint off

nick, you could always secure you're lac/mesh coat using insulation fixings to the substrate prior to installing the mono. if you wanna go superfly on the muthafukka
