Hi, iv taken a k-rend job on! Not too big but enough to go at. Done a few bits a few yr back. It's onto nice neat block work, what's the best way to put beads on with? And I don't think I need base coat? N what's the best way to mix up? Gonna give it a go, cheers all !!

I have to agree with bobby on this one, so many things can go wrong. If you scrape through to basecoat you will have a halo that will stand out like a sore thumb and there is not a lot you can do about it. get your first coat on nice and tight and have a heavier top, 15 mm beads are popular with some chaps, others prefer to stick 10mm on. twice mix your gear if using a regular mixer. lots of advice on here if you use the search bar, best advice is to sub it out to an experienced applicator and shadow them . best of luck

doubt there famous or the last :RpS_thumbup: or are playing the cliche game :RpS_confused:

you wouldnt be saying that, if you were paying him to 'practice' on your house as a paying client.

Cheers for the replyes, made it sound like I don't have a clue! As I say iv done it a few times and confident with it, was just askin advice really. As I burned the trigger out on my markita mixer once. 2 nd time I used cement mixer n poured it into a black mixin bath which I found the mix discoulered slightly! An some lads nail beads on, wondered if sticking them on would be easier. Might be best to leave it with the lads that spray it on ha!

you cant '' have a go '' on someones property.. if you dont even know how to mix it, you need to pass the job to someone who knows what their doing...

we all have to start somewhere just give it a go , its a bit of rendering

That's a bit of a blasé comment, anyone knows you just can't have a go with a through coloured render with very little experience and confidently expect to get away with it.

Can you not get anybody who has done this to give you a hand in case anything goes wrong?? Don't forget to rule it either!!!
