Ask @RobJack don't think he's over the moon with his after what he's had to spend on it!?? Its a new one too?? Get a crew cab defender 110/130 job done and very cheap to maintain so long its not a td5 get a 300tdi :RpS_thumbup:What are your guys thoughts on the l200 warriors. At the moment I have a van for work and a car for the tribe at home but was thinking of a warrior which could do both jobs. Cheers
They should have more appropriate names like " Walletbuster" "Accountsapper" "Remortgagemobil" mechanics love them mind as they make a mint off them :RpS_laugh:The problem with the building trades is that there isn't really one vehicle that covers all you need from a family car and a van. The compromises in either direction just make life harder than it needs to be.
The nearest you can get is a van with removable seats in the back. @Nisus had some fitted that clip in and out quite quickly.
The other downside to the type of pickup you're on about are the G** names they give them. Warrior, Rhino, Raging Bull etc etc. Seriously, WTF? Did some Japanese manufacturer watch Gladiators back in the day and think "Velly good names! I call manly pick up these names and my boyfriend will love me long time."
i pulled one of these out off a wet spot one at work with a d max and he had a traler on he wasent very happy as he was a die hard landrover man i had to ask him three times did he want a pull before he gave in

The gun metal grey hardtop is a 130 Mike :RpS_thumbup:Deffo go the landy route if your after a 4x4 and work vehicle.
Can always get one a crew cab with a box. As said a 130 will give you more room in the back for gear but hard to come by with overlanders snapping them up.
I doubt your navara is cheaper to run than my 110 ?? Navaras notorious for engines going bang plus anything map is expensive for parts mine is basic and primitive and hardly any electrics for things to go wrong I got charged a full engine service inc parts and oil etc £75 bout a full straight through non cat sport exhaust for £112 I know they arnt everybody's choice but defo mine and despite @plaster mans comments I know I can get almost anywhere in it :RpS_thumbup:I've had an l200 a few years ago,
there bullet proof to be honest, there cheap now 10 grand or so gets you a good few year old one. they are a bit basic on the inside. I got rid and bought a new nissan navara a few years ago, and the new generation of them are a different league to the new l200s but I have a van as well as that for work. An indication of how good the nevara is I boughtbthe Mrs a range rover sport a few years ago and the nissan navara beats it hands down in every department, there just a bit of a pain to park due to there length.

I took your comments in good humour mate I'm used to people slating defenders lol. I have very large mud tyres on mine :RpS_thumbup: god knows how the bloke got stuck where you had to pull him out?? :RpS_confused: I've lost count (especially in the winter months) how many vans and cars I've pulled out of ditches and the odd field or just broken down in a bad spot? I usually tell them after unhooking the tow rope and being told "oh thank you so much etc" I reply "Get a land rover and this won't happen to you again" :RpS_laugh:i like a man who goses down with his ship sign of a good captain anyway its all down to tyres in the wet most jeeps will go anywere with the right tyres and driver of course
u never hear much bad about the hilux yet the never get a mentioni"m looking at l200s as well mate, fed up with struggling with the astravan, i"m getting more screeding work than ever, and a pickup seems to be the way forward, the premix pit is only down the road from me, so its handy for the smaller screeds, as they let you have a tonne at a time. have heard many horror stories about them, and the others as well- i guess its down to luck

thats because the taleban buy all of them, we dont get a look in
