Most Labourers ive used try to take p!*$ and get easy day,or never listen properly or
having to be told what to do ,im not saying every labourers like it,just do it yourself
unless there bloody good.

Several times I have turned around to find a labourer sat down watching me work because they have finished the last task I gave them. They are so ******* stupid that they don't think to ask me what I want them to do next.

HA ha when I was on the mixer I would watch for the gaffer and when he shouted for muck I would crack on that I couldn't hear him for the (petrol) mixer, just clean the outside of the drum or something. I'd wait for him to get tired of waving his arms about and get his ar$e off the scaffold and then start loading him up again, used to drive him nuts :RpS_laugh:

Labourers

I have my overalls over the top of mine, unless it's summer then I have my shorts on :RpS_laugh:

But it is a bugger when crap drops into them, soon teck em off and empty them though..

Lol loved reading through this thread pmsl, I used to have 7 lads work for me (bathroom & kitchens mainly) 5 qualified and 2 labourers, headaches off the lot of them, the local college was constantly on the phone trying to get me to have the kids for a week or two, all ppe and wages paid for by the coll. The kids get a bit of exp. and you just kep swapping them. I did'nt take them up on it because mainly I worked in domestic households and did'nt want kids messing about in the houses. Another two nono's for me was smoking away from the premises and bin the stubs and no mob. Phones whilst working, more than once I,ve had a worktops dropped when their phones have rang.
