LED Coving

Has anyone experience of LED coving and the pros and cons of using as an uplighter or a downlighter.

Guess I am always used to coving covering the join between ceiling and wall, perhaps hiding any issues with where they meet, so downright seems to offer something akin to what I am used to.

Upright version seem to mount lower down the wall and perhaps may highlight internal corners more?

Orac is the only one I have seen so far but many of the photos seem brochure or mock up rather than real use photos,

These things are a bit like tiling trends. Few years down the line and looks s**t.

Jeez just a few replies. Gave up after the 1st one.

Cheers for the vid Stuart. That looks to OTT and sci if for me.

Guess it’s all down to the leds and colour and lumens etc. Just probably want warm white, dimmable and just to provide accent lighting as still to find a pendant fitting I like and will need to replace combing when lounge is redone anyway.

At the end of the day, just go with what you want, it’s your house. A few people I know have these new Philips bulbs that you can change colour with your phone. If LEDs, then def go with ‘warm’, rather than ‘cool’ and the sealed ones are the way to go. Just had a load fitted to my house that are dimmable and about £15 a pop.
