Just scrolled down couple of pages and couldn't see 1 of these posts, Over in a tiling forum I use there's a thread where everyone links their business page from facebook and we all like each others to help boost recognition and awareness to each others page. Just wondered if you guys fancied doing it here? I'll put my link up when I get on pc to get ball rolling. If this has already been done just call me a silly tw@ and delete my post.
 
Sounds good idea.....

Would prefer to have it in the public bar area as this will stop one post wonders :-)
 
Because Facebook is fast becoming the no1 advertising platform on the net, And likening and sharing spreads the word on yr page.

Is that comment above aimed at me lol? I admit I don't comment on here much, but I read it quite often and there's only so much to talk about with plastering and besides I generally want to forget all about it by time I get home lol.
 
just simple marketing .... spiders web with other platforms - online and offline.

1 like could be seen by hundreds of people ... they may not be in your area but you dont know if they have family/friends etc near you .

if you got 1 job out of it then its worked and its took next to no effort imo
 
Is it really a benefit though when everyone's on Facebook and probably doing the same anyway?
 
Yea course it's worth it. If you have a page with a lot of likes say 1000+ people are going to think yea he must be good it's basically free networking. All big names do it now with the offers, like and share the page to win blah blah and that way they are advertising to millions

But won't there come a time where people cotton on an they get the odd **** job done all at the same time everyone's at it and then they go back to picking people out of the paper taking a risk lol
 
Lol well you could just as easy get a **** spread from paper as anywhere else, at least on Facebook people can go on yr page see pics of yr previous work read comments and recommendations, then if they use you and are happy next time someone puts in their feed, " Ny one know a plasterer?" Then that person can tag yr page to them simples. Advertising in papers etc will be dead soon.

There are also many other opertunities with it, for instance I use it as a cv and send it to building contractors Facebook pages etc. I gained 2 new builders who I do regular work for now from it.

Its a powerfull tool if you know how to use it

As in .... I dunno.plaster is pink so maybe subconsciously we all wanted to be more into pink and play with the dollies that the girls did?just me? Errrrr how do I delete my G** post:RpS_wub:
 
I agree. Facebook will be the biggest advertising platform in the future. Newspaper circulations are declining ll the time. How many youngsters do you see buying a paper nowadays? They read the news on TV or online not papers. If they want to hire someone for anything they look on Facebook or they Google.
The more likes your page has the more credence it has. Come on guys like each other!...................okay, maybe not Spunky. :RpS_wink:
