Always seem to get lime bloom with Cullamix, I use the lighter colours.

Any tips to avoid? I leave the top coat a week, use my whisk to mix up.

Would it make any difference using a cement mixer?

Or is this just part and parcel of the product.

I always use a sand, lime and cement top coat or W,s ocr. Usually it is down to damp in the air within days of application but there is another source of lime bloom without the rain. I will pm you seeing as you are a regular.

you do have to mix cullamix up dry in a whelbarrow first as the colour sinks to the bottom of the bag

You know, I did a job with my old boss and once dry it was patchy as hell. I always wondered whether it was a case of the powder settling in the bag or settling in the bucket once mixed so now I keep my cordless drill and mini paddle at hand to keep the mix consistent

Just finished it...used silver. Looks spot on. I did keep stirring it. Can't see why you would need to dry mix, unless you were mixing less than a bag at a time.

I meant Cullamix on S,C&L or ocr. Never mind.

No good mixing a bucket up at a time. Mix enough up for a spray for the whole wall. Then intermix all the buckets so they are all the same. Always re-mix before taking some out of the bucket.
