Loft Conversion with Eco-Trus

The metal joist system looks good but would need more insulation for a bedroom to meet building regs.

That makes sense.. I was searching google before but could only find eco truss now I know what to search for :D
I know a engineer that specialises and designs the said type of construction, if you want his details let me know.

Watched the video; original electrics are now all buried and inaccessible, probably the case with all systems, need to know what holes you can drill thru web etc for any later mods or rewires. As Tshed said, insulation not meeting regs and it will be used as habitable. Might also consider fire exit options via velux - chain or rope ladder box? Attic floor has now become a fire compartment element, probably meets regs but check.
No biggie; one coat plastering, spread got an eyeful dubbing out the ridge (LOL). Didn't see any lighting wiring going in. Metal foil insulation will kill any mobile signal in attic and probably below.
Think I prefer LGS to wood on weight/strength etc grounds.

HMMM that is is interesting....

Might also consider fire exit options via velux - chain or rope ladder box? my loft conversion just needed smoke alarms in the liveable areas (I stuck one in every room except bathrooms

I have celotex and multifoil in my loft and mobile/internet signal is fine

What I like about LGS is that it is straight and true (hopefully)
