Evening ladies long time away

I need to refurbish alot of bay window mullions and sills all previously painted

I cant get parex parinter anywhere nr me and delivery charge is ridiculous and will only be putting a total thickness of 4mm on in two coats with top coat being a OCR tight coat floated and sponged

If its only 4mm total thickness, how about thin coat material. Hpx or simiar?

Its not easy to get a finish so maybe very slightlty proud and stone it back.

Or use an sbr cement slurry and just use a fine ocr like Webers or better still Johnstones.

I was hoping to top coat with johnstones base coat but would like a base coat which would really stick well its only gonna be 2 mm or so

Johnstones base coat? You mean there one coat render. There key coat primer is equivalent to rend aid.

4mm is too thin for 2 coats. Thin enough for thin coat. Think their base coat is a thin coat.

You can't put thin coats directly onto Parex Parinter, it's designed to attack paint type resins so it can stick to them.

Yes i guess its their one coat but it’s called base cost

Hi there. Did you use 2 coats of Weber OCR for the mullions or anything under it?
I’m about to do a similar job on the mullions and also wanted to use OCR on them and the wall to cover Yorkshire stone but I sure if it’s suitable?
I’m new to it so a bit nervous.

See if you're going to bump up a 5 year old thread at least check if the OP is still a regular poster, because he was last on here in 2019.
Why not start your own thread better chance of getting an answer to your particular question.
