It's the first time they ever sprayed it.... it can be done though can it!

I disagree. U can't put the gun down or there is a good chance it will block. Multi won't clean out of the pipes even if you put the cleaning balls down 3 times. It's takes a lot lot longer to even clean out the hopper and mixing zone.. plus when you spray it not all the air bubbles come out of the finished skim. I bought a 2ad hand skim setup it was used 2 times. It looked spotless. I was setting it up yesterday to spray kanuf mp finish. When I was putting water through the hose i picked up the hose and started to bend it in places. Low and be hold dry lumps of multi at the end of the hose blocking it. I got them out i think hope. I put mp finish through the machine sprayed good. When I went to take the spray top off it was full of multi. It doesn't matter what machine u use to spray multi it will destroy the machine and hose and gun.

If I get a chance in the next few weeks am going to spray multi and video it. Form start to finish. Spraying and cleaning out. And when I have the walls on am going to put the gun down for one min to see if it blocks the gun or hose. And I'll video up close of the wall's being troweld to see if all the air bubbles come out. I'd love if it did work but I know it dont really. This video will put this to bed for once and for all.
@Vincey to u want to star in my video.

Okay, I have done a few already that I not shared with anyone but happy to come to Ireland to use your machine not mine.

Looks ok spraying skim, Just trying to work out how it would spray mono in 110 volt out to 18mm when the ritmo m in 110 volt struggles to get mono through? In these videos it is spraying very wet so how does it get out to that thickness in two passes when the substrates are damp and have little suction?

Ritmo M 110v batters the mono on day in day out here

Look, I don't disagree with the fact Multi isn't great for spraying. Spray Finish or MP is far better, no questions.

But, Multi can be sprayed, will be sprayed and can do it successfully.

The M100 was designed in cooperation with BG to spray multi.... yes it sets quicker, yes it is more 'irrational' in setting times. But if it's works for some that says it all.. these guys loved what the machine and multi achieved, yes it would be better with other materials. But, it did the required job - No issues

Its a shame nobody ever sprays skimming long enough to make it on the forum or facebook and let all the other plasterers know exactly what they are doing right in comparison.

Saying that maybe you could tell all the guys what they need to know , after all you have many customers spraying skim. Its one thing saying it can be done successfully, but who benefits from that really?
When theres a problem spraying render or hardwall etc theres a cluster of helpful tips and tricks and then the inevitable back to basics advice from us the dealers. Then the spraying skim debate arises every few weeks and apart from saying it can be done and you will find out (because you don't know yourself) nothing ever happens until the next potential customers pop up.

To spray multi it's easier with extratime.
What machine are you using not that utd really matters. And how are u getting extra time in to the mix if the machine is mixing it. U putting it in to the water but. If so how are you measuring it.

Does anyone spray skim house bashing on a regular basis? I'd love to make my life easier when skimming cos skimming sucks

Is that with the multi if you spray it on thick u get air bubbles

Yes in any area it gets overloaded. It happens with MP and spray finish but seem to trowel out easier with them products.

We also used to sponge all the plasters we sprayed. This helped with any bubbling.

Also spraying with 250 l/min air helped to lay it on properly.

I have a compressor what bar do I put it on to get 250/ min if that makes sense

All this talk of putting muiltifinish through a ritmo gives me nightmares . f**k that mine will never put any finish through it . Leave the inside skimming to my arm when needs must .

why doesnt render block it as well?

Gypsum mate. Its a terrible sunstance lol

Sets and sticks to all sorts as u know mortar will break down hours and hours after a mix. The chemichal reaction of plaster will happen on que and is always unpredictable.

An interesting read from someone who sprays Multi with the M100 - he previously sprayed MP....

ah that makes sense :D
Well the consistency of plaster is non existent. We dont touch it mind but just keeping it moving would be my main advise. No stopping for a brew and a gas while its in the machine haha.
