Never had the experience, it's only ever been an offer to supply the materials. Which is always rebuffed.I struggle not to laugh in peoples faces when they’ve asked if it’ll be cheaper if they labour on. Seriously?!

Not if he lived on the 3rd floor!! That just never happens! If customer said he would get materials id tell him to f**k off!
I was having this conversation today. Beads have disappeared and multi has gone up in price. £7+! I remember when it was £4+
Bet @essexandy remember when it was threepence!
I don't think B&Q existed when I started.£3.15 in b and q when I first started
Started as a little shop in Southampton in 69I don't think B&Q existed when I started.
You’ve got my details lolThanks mate, shall I just quote your name and address as reference on my orders?
‘Appen thou had to go down mine and get your own gypsum then crush it to powder with thou feet all before sunrise and then start working day!I don't think B&Q existed when I started.
Don't be silly, I'm from the south, we had northerners for all that malarkey.‘Appen thou had to go down mine and get your own gypsum then crush it to powder with thou feet all before sunrise and then start working day!

I remember digging out the foundations for Stonehenge, all the materials bought from B & Q.
Well that doesn’t surprise me really. Time, weather, movement of the land etc. It’s not like they’ve replaced it, just helped it to stay standing

I do like stuff like that! Just like stories!Avebury ring is a much more interesting visit IMHO, although that's be rebuilt a couple of times too. A lot more folklore and mystery with Avebury if you're into that sort of thing. When they were putting it back to how it was they found a skeleton under one of the stones which had fallen. All sorts of stories attached to what he was doing to get flattened. Then there's the story that if a stone falls one of the houses in the village (which is inside the stone circle) will fall too.
Gotta watch out for the Druids though, they're a funny lot. My mum's from nearby.
It's worth a Google then, and if you get chance a visit.I do like stuff like that! Just like stories!
I looked it up and realised I’ve been there years ago lol! It's worth a Google then, and if you get chance a visit.
Druid's, Moonrakers, myths, legends, it'll keep you entertained.
Nice day for a spot of chess!I looked it up and realised I’ve been there years ago lol!
