Really? From what I see on here of site spreads it's f**k**g brutal. Get it on fast as f**k who cares what it looks like painters painting it while ur laying in. Makes me feel a bit sick. Domestic has to be flawless and clean and tidy. No shite all over floor. No filthy drains outside. Meticulous. I enjoy it personally, id feel demoralised on site
 
Our work pal..we r not all like that and ull notice its a dried out picture :coffe: its like me saying your same as that bloke on other thread whats on youtube that olican put up

Our work is flawless pal hence we are always busy and hence we get good m2 rate..good site lads as theres good domestic lads and theres bad on both sides..we do both..and domestic customers really havnt a scooby doo.there more interested in u hoovering up and leaving it shiny than knowing wats a really good job
 
Imagine going into mrs jones living room and saying mrs jones ur looking at £20m2 then she types it into google and she gets directed onto this site and sees £2.50m2 getting banded about in convo

Fair play to you. All the site spreads I know it's all about speed, speed and quality don't usually go hand in hand but obviously there is exceptions. Seeing that picture the other day of paint all mixed in with skim as walls being sprayed as they plastering says it all tbh.

You do have a valid point about some customers not knowing the ins and outs of good plastering. But believe me most know a good job or a bad one as I've done s**t loads of re-skims after unpaid plasterers and some of it isn't even that bad.

I just make sure it's bang on regardless of the customers knowledge.
 
Apparently in Germany they do weather that's true or not.
Anything you type plaster related on Google its always this site comes up first be carefull what you say

We are very quick oursens..speed and quality finish should go hand in hand,its pointless being quick but shite finish as that means ur not quick at all as u cant handle the m2 u have put on..

Is lot of little perks on domestic tho, have so many stories. loads of tips too , had a 50 tip lastweek was nice . had a thai bird knock me up a fresh thai red curry on one job was best ever had

ha reminded me of early days old c**t train me up "Do you think id put on more than i could finish", he d put full room on was old c**t too. legend.

Guess you can get a solid system in place when hitting board everyday,. whats your system?

Well I've had some really good tips lately worked a day and half give me 500 then 30 the other day all really appreciate a plasterer.
 
I was loading tools into my van other day, guy walks up to me “plasterer?” Yeah. “How much to skim a room?” How bigs the room? “Just a terrace room.” I’d have to come and have a look. “Well there’s bedroom, bathroom, loft room and hall stairs and landing. Just shook my head and bombed him off.

Slap on,speedskim to get lines out wen its still wet,2 coat then speedskim wen still really wet,let it kick in 5 mins,speedskim again then let it go in,1 trowel with water with mt then 2 wipes with nela..jobs a good un..

always 2 coat..takes longer to 1 coat sometimes as u need to give it another trowel..cant use speedskim aswell wen u 1 coat

can anyone tell me how someone can finish a gauge in 1 hour??? I’ve been plastering for 14 years,I’ll bang a 3 to 4 bag gauge on to a top standard,but it’s taking me 2 hours!! Most of our work is high end work but would be handy to know how to knock it out in a third of the time & keep the standards high,thanks chaps!!
