I disagree.. my bi polar was diagnosed when I was 16 and I was weird all the way through growing up and shouldn't have had any real cares at that age

Bi polar that was your hormones as you were growing up they are to quick to label people and put them on medication with side effects
If you can say you were weird, I think you are not that bad.
When you think everyone else is weird and you are normal that's when you have a problem.

I used to help lads with mental health, as a group the guys would never talk about it, however, individually they would. Unfortunately quite often it progressed to self harm.

Oh God absolutely, most issues I encountered were traced back to childhood - either parenting issues or major change in circumstances (death/split and so on). Going through schooling, the kids would fall behind and instead of progressing, simply went sideways and end up doing what they do.
But why do so many with mental issues go into plastering?

Plenty of plasterers have a alcohol problem, work hard all day then drink too much most evenings.
