What's members thoughts on dealing with catnic type lintels on rendering?

What's members thoughts on dealing with catnic type lintels on rendering?

If using sand & cement I use a stop bead on the block and fill in the small gap underneath.the painters will then paint
If mono I use micro on it before rendering

Normally they are small enough so that the back of the bead acts as the mesh.i normally just put a bit of rendaid along them even if it's new blockwork.
