That’s true . But I do a lot of over boarding in old houses and the joists are never right and end up with a lot of big off cuts .By the time you fit them, you could cut the boards to the joist .

Not when overboarding . Want to see if it can be used by just putting up full boards without measuring to every joist . Most old houses are imperial and there is too much waste and cutsStops the board flexing. Could just use 50x25 batten
Yes you can. Mostly you use it on really high metal partition walls in industrial sites. You have to use it across the end of every board on the staggered joints.
