yeah been using mastercrete and its on there. It's all personal preference at the end of the day.
 
You can't beat a 2-1 scud. I all ways scud and leave it a week. 4-1 scratch 5-1 or 6-1 top coat. Depends on time of year how much lime I'll use. The scud will stop the line of the blocks shining through

Do ya charge days pay for the squad scudding or less. It doesn't take that long. One could lose out on a job pricing it against men who don't do it.

I don't get the line in blocks with scratch&final coat.
 
The scud method on to blockwork must be a regional thing, I've not done that before. Used scud to get a key on to low suction background but not on blockwork.

We do chimneys, dormers, anex gables and scud. Usually draw a grand, see how the client is for bobs.

@Andy0705 just realized you plastering in the rebel county. Was a blue nose like yourself not turned upside down and thrown into the mixer. I'm surprised at them bhoys down there if they didn't lol. They must be going soft down there lol

went to school there to mate all my mates were celtic my dad was scottish and a proper blue nose and went on marchs etc me its football only not interested in the rest of the religion b*ll***s , irish catholic mum scotich prod dad lol make it even better my mum was born 12th july haha . i all ways walked around with me gers top on had the banter as you do but thats it .
 
Was all set to do a flood damage insurance job but client got flooded again last week, got a nice bit external waiting for spark on a new build. Yourself?

Sad at what has happened to quite a lot of houses during them floods. Seen houses flooded till ceiling height, madness!!

Curious to know, when houses do get flooded, does the insurance pay out for reskims or is it other work your doing.
