I done a few of these, one of the times it was brick underneath which I wasn't expecting, you probably already checked unlike me but if not price for render board and if it's brick its a bonus though I'm sure none of the companies have a mono system for board except parex' EHI.

True, sometimes they are brick columns with timber upstands, probably rotten. Tell her you'll have to see what state the timber is in as she might have to replace it then mesh coat and Mono with mesh

Same as Marshy ,10mm beads, get maite on nice and tight with mesh and you still have enough depth to Mono.

The mono reps will tell you that so you needlessly spend more on materials !! Isnt that right Mr Parex Mr Weber and worst of all Mr Krend

In fairness, none of them set regs for water penetration and building control is currently all over it.

Some parts of the UK are now at 20mm minimum.

If you have a warrantied spec from any of them at 10mm I'd like to see it.

Not much of a market for either of those tho. Not particularly fashionable anymore.

Is mostly dash & sand cement finish. Everyone's too tight to use modern gear over here lol.

So thats a "No" I cant do it lol

You'd be surprised what I'd been involved in over the years, but no, recreating the 1960s council estate look, not really had much call for it.

Bespoke Stone, Brick, and Amusement Park displays over Europe were my speciality back in the day.

I know what your saying but some extensions require render to match the traditional existing etc. My point was there is alot of skill in doing traditional sand cement render wether it be flat plain rubbed, pebble dash, wet dash, ashlar jointing etc as opposed to modern finishes which seem much easier to do?
