Spent last 12-18 months convinced thincoat is the way forward, and in turn have been convincing customers. But last few jobs have done in eco rend mono and they’ve been a dream. So much bloody easier. Got my little extension sat ready to do and I’m torn.
What’s better and why help me decide
Depends on you.
Is It money you want to earn, or do you want to the best job with less come backs?
What would you want on your house?
If you put yourself in a customers position, (who most of the time know nothing, and you have to explain the whole industry to them), what would you want someone to come and put on your house, to come and tell/advise you?
Other factors, potential for movement, has there been openings across each wall, liklihood of future damage, kids bikes or barrows or moving lights etc.
These would sway me to advise one way or another.
After all weighed up, which finish genuinely looks better in that person's eyes.
The amount of customers and builders I have spoken to who all thought mono and thin coat were the same thing when looking at the finish, usually from 5 metres away. Then you explain, - go look closer etc...
