Been asked if i can sort out someone else's attempt at mono.

Told the customer on the phone i would look at it sometime this week.

So, my question is, can you go over mono with more mono ?

Was thinking about using rendaid then maybe using 10mm beads if i can ?

or will an SBR slurry be enough to key it

Bloke says he has a few bags of rendaid leftover and enough mono to redo the panel.

Just wanna get an idea if its do able (i.e going over it with mono) before i go and have alook.

Sounds like there are loads of patches of misses from what i could make out on the phone...........:RpS_unsure:

Cheers

I would hack it off start again ,give the customer peace of mind ,the guy that messed it up in the first place work has gone ,fresh start

i did a mono over mono when i first started using it about 10 yrs ago, somebody had done exactly the same, anyway customer wanted it covered quick and only had pva, so i did it with no guarantee. its still on now,10yrs later

Rake the beads back with a new scratcher,rend-aid with a roller and then put a tight coat over the top, should be fine mate
Take care when rubbing up nice and gentle

You may have to knck the reveals off Arti, depending if you have enough width left on the frames to take a rebead.
Mono's a **** to chop off Keith.

The job has other panels which the customer can live with so he wants to keep it all mono.............if it was just one panel on its own i would have went with thin coat............feewkin loads easier then titting on with mono on top of mono....................or is it mono et mono they say...............:RpS_unsure:
