mono thickness

rigth I've used rend aid all over mi moms hous and this week end I've started to bead it and was hoping to start spraying the mono. But it's 4inch + out of plumb top to bottom so a couple scratch coats needed what's the max thickness recommended I can do in each coat. With Webber pral m.
 
You could dub out with ocr.100mm out of plumb? That could be classed as a dangerous structure.

I had a gable what bowed inwards, total thickness was 75mm in the middle. Let the ocr fully cure and fully mesh.
 
It's had survey on it for the re mortgage to extend and complete revamp . It's the old house it' the gable has been built leaning over you can see the house getting gradually wider toward the top. ( don't build um like they used to ) gud job
 
28mm is BS for the max on thickness for a render ,you cannot just keep building it out ,without having a future problem ,and **** hacking it off if you do :RpS_scared::RpS_wink:
 
Without seeing the house , can you not do the top half in a cladding and render the bottom half ?

I have done 2 mono/cedar cladding jobs in the last year,one with the cedar at the top and the other with the cedar at the bottom,both turned out well,this is deffo something to consider @wiganlad:RpS_thumbup:

Do have to be careful of the cedar wood not staining the render , but as said can look nice , popular at the moment , with those bloody grey windows that mark when you even look at them
 
Why waste your money on OCR when you can just use sand/cement.
At that thickness I wouldn't bother getting it plumb lee.the more material you got on there the more risk of problems.as long as the finished render is flat that's surely enough
 
Well said bobby , its not like it is a new build . Putting that much gear on is asking for trouble ..... Make sure its flat and dub out as needed , stuff plumbing it up ? Long as it looks fine , you can only work to the old house , making it flat at least makes your beads fit. I bet the house is a hundred years old or something which means your job will have character haha
 
Thanks for input. I'll try get sum pics on. Its bout 70 /80 yr old. See what ur saying. I'll just have do my best then. But you know what its like its mi mams house n im a spread so all eyes on me ha. I've pulled bottom out now bout 40 mm what if I drill n plug Rib lath then go again? Or just leave it at that . I do need to get back to work as charity work dsnt pay bills ha
