monocouche over pebbledash

hi chaps new to forum ,been plastering 10 yrs but new to monocouche , I was wondering if you'd could help me out with procedure to mono over pebbledash ,pebbledash is sound ,is procedure (prime ,renderaid ,mesh ,prime ,mono, thanks

To be honest mate we always remove the old render , loads will tell you to use this that and the other , but why take the risk ?

Depends Keith, sometimes you can smash the substrate to bits kangoing the old stuff off , thus making the bicks/blocks live . Best thing to do is get a manufacturers spec so your backsides covered.

true ,but its just the way i do it ,not saying its right ,just dont like the idea of render on render ,as the BS is 28mm ,most render companies will tell you to use their product to go over the original ,thats how they earn their money

We normally find underneath the render we sometimes fine some issues that are hidden

Looks a very small crack ,but after the render was removed ,it was far worse
