Brill looking bike Lurpy. I was thinking a few months ago about getting a bike again - not had one for over 20 years, this is what I have had from age 14 (used to ride to school with my mate on the back on a Yam DT50), when my gran died she left me £200), then bought a Fizzy - stuck a ‘micron’ on the exhaust and it went about 56mph 
then a RD350, Honda 450 (I’m a bit pissed so can’t remember which one), then a 750, a Kwak Z 1000 - 99bhp...went like shite. I was riding it one winter day and it was so cold I pissed myself just for a few seconds of heat

I’ve thought about it a few times. Last bike was a KTM 144. Always been a two stroke fan really as a doddle to strip and put back together.
As kids we used to take them to a massive Bit of waste land called the meads which has since been built on. Everyone would be there on old DT’s, C90’s, peddle and pops the lot lol. We would get bored and then call the old bill and report ourselves just to liven things up a bit and get a chase home

used to go to olympia nec but this was probably 10 year ago. Think theres a few about mate

Had a few of them. Used to fit knobbly tyres on the backAlso had a Honda 90 step-through, that was a low point in my life...met the missus that year

My old man had a factory 1995 kx 500 2stroke back in the day, absolute beast of a machine road it on the flat once and never again let alone on a track

For sure love the smell of a 2stroke not a fan of the modern day 4stroke bike. Bring back the old school 2smokers

Yeah my mistake you’re right mate, the one I had was 2 stroke the 4 stroke version came out later. It scared the f**k out of me so I sold it back to the original owner about 2/3 months after buying it. Lol

They have come back. Almost all enduro competitions are a full field of 2 strokes. The japs don’t want to re engineer them but European manufacturers are selling more than ever.

I keep looking at Enduro bikes. Not had one for over 30 years. Started at 13 with a Bultaco Sherpa 250, and then had a couple of DT 175 MXs. There are a couple of restored Yamaha ITs on EBay for silly money. Never fancied a 4 Stroke. Would probably get a KTM Freeride 2 stroke if I dabbled again.
