Do u spray it
 
No trowel it on always mix it slow with a drill don't over mix or mix on fast or it goes to piss usually put it on then lay it down while 1st coat is still wet this usually stops it from tearing when you trowel it up

LOL - or maybe Beddy, Arti, Fatarm and - worse of all - Brownie.... :RpS_scared:, (not that he cares much, he mainly spreads renders and eats lol - sorry big feller)

Anyway - a quick update.... I have been copied into some very open internal E Mails, and there will be some discussions at management levels about options to ease supply into the market... No idea what sort of time frame it may take, but the ball is rolling....


Please keep the 'pink' brigade away - for a few more weeks at least.... lol

I ended up using multifinish for the small job I did ( a downstairs toilet ceiling ) but I'm doing a living room in a few weeks so will be looking for some if you can locate a supplier that I can get 5 bags from that would be a result?

Hi George

I am not certain if the main distributors stock MP Finish, but try Encon Northampton or SIG Bedford or SIGD Luton - one or your local Travis Perkins may be able to draw stock from a larger CCF Branch?

Knauf are looking at the issue of stocking MP Finish with outlets (shelf life vrs volume vrs demand) - so it should get addressed soon...

Wickes should just stock mp75 and mp finish instead of trying to move it under a own brand label.

They would sell more and you wouldn't look like a chancer turning up to a job with own brand gear

Bg are the same with there bags. I see u sticking up for them just because you where there on a one day tour.

Hi Ryan

Please give it some time, Knauf are looking at options and talking to outlets to get buy in.... Knauf is a big company and it takes time to turn things around - then imagine getting buy in from the outlets as well....

I understand your frustration, but please be patient :-(

At least you have someone on here to moan at, who takes it and trys to make things happen.... :flapper:

A sales rep is meant to be contacting me this week about mp.. to source it locally to me.. not heard anything from them yet..!!
 
Sprayed a out of date bag of mp it was 2 months out. Sprayed it in my shed. It went like this. Spray on flattened with trowel. 1 hour later first trowel with s/f. 50min later 2nd trowel with s/f. 15 min cross trowel.
