Does anybody use an 8" Mixing paddle? Bought one the other day and it's fookin massive. Not sure if it's too big. Always used 160's but thought I'd give it a whirl. I wondered if its a case of bigger the better?

Found the whisk needed repairing more often, knocks it up quicker though. Only used it for mono and drywall.

Sweet! (y) I've got a separate mixer for skim and backing coats. Reckon it's more suited to backing coats. Didn't know whether to get one of those quick release connectors for swapping them over. Connect a shitty one for drywall and then the big one for backing coats.

Yep 200mm paddle all the way.

I knock up render all day, day in day out. A 90l tub from refina goes great with these larger mixes
