multi-finish questions and wall prep

Hi all,

Couple questions -

I didn't think I needed to be concerned with wall prep as the wall was in a decent condition to start with - removed tons of wallpaper etc.

I did key the wall and covered with watered down PVA glue.

Problem I didn't predict - Some parts of the wall had tough yellow parts stuck to them. The multi finish doesn't want to stick to it. Could it be wallpaper paste or some filler that it can't adhere too??

I just managed to slightly get away with it. but what is the damage report, will this be a big cause for concern?

Tomorrow for the other side of the room I will remove the yellow crap.

Second question, what is the preferred way to prep the multi-finish to paint over? - PVA or mist coat. and is there any preferred quick way?

Thanks in advance,

1st Yes

2nd No

3rd Use something more substantial, like SBR or acrylic. Even grit would be way better.
Thanks I removed the plaster, got ride of the yellow cr*p and re-did it.

What is the best way not to to have any problems when painting over the plaster?

Decent pissy mist coat, and don't over roll it.

Get her on, roll out the line and move on.

And leave plenty of time before the next coat.
