Be fineHi. I had a stud wall built for the bathroom and the builder used normal plasterboard, skimmed and tiled around the shower enclosure. I've subsequently been told this will fail? I can't imagine removing everything to start again. How will this hold up? Thanks
In what way?MR boards are load of crap
Because if ye want a board that does not get destroyed by water then use cement boards what is the point of a half way house and why would anyone put in a board in a bathroom that they are willing to let water get to anywayIn what way?
They don’t need to be skimmed and can hold the weight of a tile better than any standard board
Agree with you there pal cement board always better than a gypsum board but what I’m saying is if you’re gonna use gypsum board in a tiled wet area then an unskimmed MR board is far better than a skimmed standardBecause if ye want a board that does not get destroyed by water then use cement boards what is the point of a half way house and why would anyone put in a board in a bathroom that they are willing to let water get to anyway
