you dnt need him it might look like a nightmare to you but to a pro its just another job ask your friends n family if they can recomend a good plasterer theyll sort it out ;D

dont panic, do call a builder/plasterer...
if youre fitting a new kitchen are all youre electrics in the right place? need any extra sockets? want spurs for appliances? or are you gonna feed all the cables through the worktop etc...
if you want some electrical work, call an electrician, its not something the law allows you to do yourself...
then call a plasterer, its nothing major, just wants rendering/skimming
then call a plumber to first fix
then, if youre clever...paint it
then fit your kitchen
get electrician/plumber to 2nd fix (make it all work)
then call a tiler (if your gonna tile it) or have a go yourself
then sit back and stick the kettle on
